You might also visit the Royal Botanical Garden to see Bhutan’s diverse plants or check out other attractions before making your way back to the hotel on your own.
Today, after checking out, enjoy a tour of Thimphu’s main attractions. Start by visiting the famous National Memorial Chorten and admire its detailed religious murals. Next, see the impressive Buddha Dordenma statue and head to Motithang Preserve to spot the rare Takin, Bhutan’s national animal. You’ll also visit Tashichho Dzong and Simtokha Dzong, among other sights. After the tour, you’ll be driven to Paro. Once you arrive, check in to your hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
In the morning, you’ll be driven to Satsam Chencho Tshongkhang for a scenic hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery, which is perched on a cliff. As you walk through the lush pine forest, enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area. When you reach the monastery, explore its sacred halls and marvel at its dramatic location. Afterward, learn about Bhutanese history at Paro Rinpung Dzong and see the impressive Ta Dzong. Finally, you’ll be driven back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Today, check out of your hotel and head to Phuentsholing. Once you arrive, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. You can visit the Chukha Hydropower Dam, one of Bhutan’s largest hydropower projects, or relax by the peaceful Torsa River and enjoy the beautiful views. You might also visit Alapan’s View Point for more stunning views of Bhutan or explore the lively Phuentsholing Market. After your explorations, return to your hotel.
In the morning, after checking out, you’ll be transferred to Bagdogra Airport or Railway Station. Once you arrive, catch your transfer home, bringing your wonderful trip to an end!
